Because of my definable family history and direct relationship to a historical figure I have been asked to take part in my Surname DNA project, and am being sponsored by the group to have the 37 marker test. Some interesting facts are going to emerge from this. It is probable that I may be the key individual on this having knowledge of at least 14 generations. I was fascinated by the interview with New York Governor David Paterson. It shows that we are all one family and united in ways that we do not know. I found most telling was his comment that we need to have unity and work together and love each other and that otherwise, the cure for cancer may be in the brain of a young African/ American girl living in the South Bronx who can't get the skills and training to get out and save the world.
